Small Cakes Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Cakes:

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup whole milk, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Glaze/Frosting:

- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 2-3 tablespoons milk or lemon juice
- Food coloring (optional)

Directions:

Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a mini muffin tin or small cake mold.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the sugar, flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
Combine Wet Ingredients: Beat the softened butter until creamy in another bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
Fill Molds: Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin tin or small cake molds, filling each about ¾ full.
